Our client is a leading innovator in the exciting new technology of online merchandising and interactive web services. A rapidly-growing customer base--of which over half are Fortune 500--depend on their enterprise platform to enable rapid deployment of their respective web applications to business partners/channels worldwide, including Best Buy and Wal-Mart.

Position details:

The primary function of this position is to manage the full cycle of projects as part of our client’s service offering. The person will initiate customer engagement, scope a project and direct a project team to design, develop and deliver projects on time and with customer approval. The person will also be responsible for the project maintenance and revision cycles.

As part of a distributed team, the project manager will engage with different resources located on-site and overseas to manage multiple short term projects in different progress levels and phases.

He/she ideally has project management experience in a web/e-commerce environment, verbal and written communication skills. The Project Manager must have excellent relationship building skills, as well as strong leadership skills. He/she must have a deep understanding of Web production and design consideration as well as experience working with project management tools and approaches to manage multiple and short term projects. The project manager will manage multiple projects in different phases and needs to prioritize and allocate resources accordingly.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Engage with customer to analyze and determine projects scope

• Create appropriate documentation and use various tools to manage the process.

• Manage a virtual project team of designers, developers, QA, and deployment

• Maintain time line and internally communicate with the different stakeholders to ensure well-informed engagement process

• Ensures a positive, collaborative work environment for the team. Mentors and coaches project team members, as appropriate.

• Creatively look for opportunities to add value and increase success of projects managed

E-Commerce Project Managers - Job Requirements:

• Recent and relevant understanding of Web production and design

• Project management knowledge and experience

• Excellent written and verbal skills

• Detailed oriented and taking ownership attitude

• Must be highly skilled in time management to facilitate involvement in multiple projects.

• Must have excellent teamwork skills as well as be self-directed

• Must have the ability to work independently and manage communications in all organization levels.
